Gaza, January 15 (QNA) - The death toll from Israeli airstrikes targeting various areas of the Gaza Strip since Thursday morning has risen to 7.

Medical sources reported that four Palestinians were killed when Israeli warplanes targeted a house in the Al Maaskar area, west of Deir Al Balah, the central Gaza Strip.

The sources explained that the Israeli airstrike caused extensive damage to the targeted house, resulting in fatalities and injuries.

A Palestinian also succumbed to wounds sustained in an earlier Israeli airstrike on another house in the city this afternoon, which also killed one Palestinian.

Two Palestinians were also killed in an Israeli airstrike earlier Thursday on Rafah, southern Gaza Strip.

The Israeli entity continues to violate the ceasefire agreement, despite the launch of the second phase of US President Donald Trump's 20-point plan to end the war on Gaza.

This phase moves from a ceasefire to the formation of a technocratic administration and reconstruction. The occupation army launched raids and shelling operations in various parts of the Gaza Strip.

The death toll from the Israeli occupation's aggression against the Gaza Strip rose to 71,441 martyrs and 171,329 wounded on Thursday.

The ceasefire agreement between Hamas and the Israeli entity came into effect last October following the occupation's withdrawal from populated areas and sites in the Strip and the start of the return of displaced persons to the north.

This was part of the first phase of US President Donald Trump's initiative to end the war on Gaza. (QNA)
