Doha, January 13 (QNA) - Qatar Foundation (QF) signed a cooperation agreement with Qatar Museums, reflecting both parties' commitment to strengthening national partnerships and supporting the development of an education and knowledge ecosystem rooted in Qatar's local context. The agreement was signed within the framework of Rasekh, one of QF's Pre-University Education initiatives.

The partnership aims to enrich the knowledge content of the Rasekh's platforms and enhance their educational and community impact by leveraging cultural and knowledge expertise, as well as by developing educational materials and curricula in both Arabic and English. These efforts are grounded in Qatar's local context and contribute to strengthening the Arabic language while reinforcing Islamic and Qatari identity. The collaboration also spans the initiative's various platforms (written, audio, visual, and print) reflecting integrated national efforts and ensuring the sustainability of its educational and knowledge-based impact.

The collaboration also includes the establishment of a Knowledge Bank, which brings together the diverse sciences and bodies of knowledge available across Qatar within an independent and integrated platform. This platform forms an integral part of the Rasekh's ecosystem and contributes to facilitating access to national institutions, while highlighting their roles and needs across various scientific and professional specializations.

On this occasion, President of QF's Pre-University Education Abeer Al Khalifa, said: "The Rasekh is rooted in our belief that meaningful education begins with students' understanding of their local context, culture, and history, and that connecting knowledge to national identity delivers a deeper and more impactful learning experience.

"Through Rasekh, we are working to develop educational curricula that go beyond traditional frameworks, opening new horizons for students through discovery-based learning, engagement with national institutions, and a deeper understanding of their roles and needs, contributing to students' academic and professional readiness for the future."

She noted that the collaboration with Qatar Museums represents a valuable addition to the initiative, saying: "Qatar Museums is an important national partner in enriching the cultural and knowledge content of the Rasekh, drawing on its expertise and knowledge resources that reflect the history of Qatar and its cultural heritage, and helping to transform this heritage into dynamic and inspiring educational content."

Al Khalifa emphasized that the Knowledge Bank is one of the core pillars of the initiative, noting that it provides a comprehensive platform that brings together the knowledge and expertise available across national institutions, facilitates access for students and members of the community, and enables them to explore future opportunities and pathways, thereby promoting a culture of lifelong learning and informed choices around academic disciplines and careers.

"We believe that the integration of national efforts is the most effective way to build generations capable of critical thinking, innovation, and active participation in the development of their communities, and that the Rasekh represents a strategic step in this direction."

For his part, CEO of Qatar Museums Mohammed Saad Al Rumaihi, said: "This partnership with Qatar Foundation reflects a shared commitment to placing culture and knowledge at the heart of education."

"Through the Rasekh, Qatar Museums contributes its cultural and research expertise to enriching educational content rooted in national identity, within the wider Evolution Nation celebration marking Qatar Museums' cultural journey. The Knowledge Bank plays a vital role in expanding access to national knowledge resources for current and future generations," he added. (QNA)
