Six Police Officers Killed in Bomb Attack in North-west Pakistan
Islamabad, January 12 (QNA) - At least six police officers have been killed and several others injured after a bomb attack targeted their vehicle in north-west Pakistan, officials said.
According to Pakistan's state news agency, the explosion occurred on Monday in the Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
President Asif Ali Zardari condemned the attack, reaffirming the government's commitment to continuing its campaign against armed groups until they are completely eliminated.
Pakistan's security forces have for years been carrying out operations against militant groups operating in mountainous regions of the country. These groups have launched intermittent attacks targeting civilians and security personnel. (QNA)
