Riyadh, January 11 (QNA) - President of the Presidential Leadership Council of Yemen Rashad Al-Alimi announced the full success of the process of taking over military camps in the governorates of Hadhramout and Al-Mahrah, the interim capital Aden, and the rest of the liberated governorates.

Al-Alimi called on all parties to unite ranks, strengthen cohesion, prioritize wisdom, and mobilize all capacities in service of the goal of restoring state institutions.

He also announced the formation of a Supreme Military Committee under the leadership of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy. The committee will be tasked with preparing, equipping, and commanding all military forces and formations, and supporting them in readiness for the next phase.

In an address last night, Al-Alimi affirmed that the difficult decisions taken during the past days were not aimed at the use of force, but rather at protecting citizens and safeguarding their dignity at a moment that allows neither ambiguity nor compromise. He stressed that the situation requires clarity, honesty in assuming responsibility, and full commitment to the Constitution, the law, and the references governing the transitional phase.

He renewed affirmation that the just Southern Cause remains at the forefront of the priorities of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government, adding that the Council responded to calls from the southern governorates and their components to convene a comprehensive Southern Dialogue Conference that will be held under the generous patronage of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Al-Alimi also reaffirmed Yemen's commitment to close partnership with brothers in the leadership of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy and with the international community in combating terrorism, curbing arms smuggling, securing maritime routes, and deterring cross-border threats.

Head of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council called for the surrender of weapons, return of looted property in all its forms, and return to the ranks of the state that embraces all.

He affirmed that enhancing security, addressing any security gaps or vulnerabilities, and protecting social peace are not options subject to delay or bargaining. He said that these measures constitute a fundamental national commitment and a sovereign duty imposed by the requirements of this stage, to ensure the cohesion of state institutions, consolidate stability, and strengthen the country's ability to withstand dangers and challenges.

Al-Alimi renewed Yemen's appreciation for the sincere fraternal role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its leadership in supporting Yemeni people, their government, constitutional legitimacy, unity, security, and stability. (QNA)
