Israeli Fire in Northern, Central Gaza Strip Kills Two Palestinians
Gaza, January 11 (QNA) - The Israeli occupation forces on Sunday opened fire on a group of Palestinians in the southern and northern Gaza Strip, killing two Palestinians.
Medical sources reported that a Palestinian was killed after he had been brutally shot by Israeli occupation fire in Al-Zaytoun neighbourhood in eastern Gaza City.
Another Palestinian youth was killed after he had been brutally wounded in an Israeli shelling that targeted a group of Palestinians at Al-Maghazi Camp in the central enclave on Saturday.
Meanwhile, sources at Gaza hospitals announced the death of a two-month-old child in Gaza City due to extreme cold on Saturday.
The occupation forces continued their artillery shelling and airstrikes on various parts across the Strip, with Israeli artillery striking the southern, central, and northern Gaza Strip.
The death toll from the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip, since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 71,409, with 171,304 injured.
On Oct. 10, a ceasefire deal entered into force between the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and Israel following the withdrawal of the occupation army from sites and densely populated areas in the enclave.
Thereafter, displaced people started to pour into the northern Strip as part of the first phase of US President Donald Trump's initiative to end the war on Gaza. (QNA)
