Tunis, January 10 (QNA) - Police Club claimed a 3-1 victory over Oman's Majees Club on Saturday in the third round of Group B at the 44th Arab Men's Club Volleyball Championship, currently underway in Tunisia with the participation of 11 teams.
Police secured the win with set scores of 26-24, 18-25, 25-17, 25-21.
With this result, Police Club moved to six points, having earlier been awarded a 3-0 forfeit victory over the Palestinian Forces team, which failed to appear at the indoor arena two days ago. Police, however, suffered a 1-3 defeat to Tunisia's Étoile Sportive du Sahel on Friday in the second round.
Meanwhile, Oman's Majees Club remain on three points, collected from a 3-0 win over the Palestinian Forces Club in the second round, after opening their campaign with a 0-3 loss to Bahrain's Muharraq.
The championship continues on Sunday with fourth-round matches. In Group B, Police will face Muharraq, while Qatar meet Tunisia's Espérance Sportive de Tunis in a top-of-the-table clash in Group A.
Group-stage action concludes on Monday, with Police taking on Libya's Al-Ittihad and Qatar facing Algeria's Tadjenanet.
The tournament will conclude on January 17, featuring the third-place playoff and the final. Egypt's Zamalek are the defending champions, having defeated Al-Ahly in last year's final in Doha. (QNA)
