Gaza, January 10 (QNA) - A Palestinian was killed today by Israeli occupation forces east of Gaza City.

Medical sources reported that a Palestinian man was killed after being shot by the Israeli army near the railway junction east of Gaza City, bringing the number of Palestinians killed since this morning to three.

Three other Palestinians were seriously injured in an Israeli drone strike on the Maghazi refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Israeli artillery shelled the area near the Flag Roundabout south of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, amid heavy gunfire from Israeli military vehicles.

The ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel came into effect last October, following the withdrawal of the Israeli army from its positions and populated areas in the Gaza Strip, and the beginning of the return of displaced persons to the northern part of the Strip. This was part of the first phase of US President Donald Trump's initiative to end the war on Gaza. (QNA)
