Jeddah, September 9 (QNA) - The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli aggression that targeted Qatar Tuesday, in flagrant violation of international law, the UN Charter, and international norms.

In a statement, the OIC strongly condemned this attack, which represents a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region and undermines international peace and security.

It noted that Islamic countries condemn this brutal attack on the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of the State of Qatar.

OIC Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha, affirmed that the OIC, based on its Charter, the resolutions of the Islamic Summit, and the decisions of the Council of Foreign Ministers, categorically rejects any attack on the sovereignty and security of any Member State.

The OIC expressed its full solidarity with the State of Qatar and its support for its security, territorial integrity, and stability, as well as the safety of its citizens and residents, affirming its support for all measures taken by the State of Qatar to preserve its security and sovereignty.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) once again called on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to assume its responsibilities by compelling Israel to end its dangerous and ongoing aggression in the region and to respect international law and relevant UN resolutions.
