Qatar Handball Association Signs Cooperation Agreement with Iranian Counterpart
Doha, September 4 (QNA) - The Qatar Handball Federation (QHA) has signed a cooperation agreement with its Iranian counterpart in the administrative and technical fields to serve the game in both countries.
The signing ceremony was attended by President of the Qatar Handball Federation Ahmed Al Shaabi and President of the Iranian Handball Federation Alireza Pakdel, as well as members of the Board of Directors of both federations.
The signing ceremony was also attended by First Secretary at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Doha Mohammad Ali Shirband.
The agreement aims to enhance joint cooperation between the two federations regarding national teams and competitions, and to exchange visits between national teams and club players to participate in friendly competitions for men and women in various age groups over the next three years (2026, 2027, and 2028).
The agreement also aims to exchange technical and administrative expertise to contribute to the development of handball in both countries.
Both federations will also support each other in terms and policies of international events.
The agreement includes training, through the organization of joint conferences, seminars, and courses aimed at improving the level of handball coaches and specialists.

Referees will be exchanged in the national league at the request of the relevant federation, and all details will be discussed by the technical staff of the two federations in this regard.
For his part, Ahmed Al Shaabi, President of the Qatar Handball Association (QHA) Ahmed Al Shaabi confirmed that the agreement aims to exchange administrative and technical expertise in the fields of coaches, players, referees, and teams of all age groups in handball.
The President of the Qatar Handball Association (QHA) concluded his statement by emphasizing the two parties' agreement that the technical bodies of the two federations will discuss the terms of the agreement, noting that the agreement is open to anything that contributes to achieving benefits for both Qatar and Iran.(QNA)
