Islamabad, September 2 (QNA) - A 5.4-magnitude earthquake struck Tuesday the capital, Islamabad, and northern Pakistan.
Pakistan Meteorological Department sources reported that a 5.4-magnitude earthquake struck the capital, Islamabad, and northern Pakistan, including the districts of Swat, Peshawar, Abbottabad, and Mansehra.
The sources reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was in southeastern Afghanistan, which borders Pakistan.
There have been no reports of casualties or damage from the earthquake so far.
An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale struck eastern Afghanistan today.
Earthquakes are common in Pakistan, as the country lies on the boundary of the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates.
