Manila, September 17 (QNA) - The Qatar men's volleyball team claimed a historic victory at the FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship 2025, currently taking place in the Philippines, by defeating Romania (3-1).

Qatar defeated Romania in four sets (20–25, 25–23, 25–20, 25–22).

This marks Qatar's first and only win in the championship, a promising milestone and an achievement that reinforces its strong presence on the world stage.

With this victory, Qatar wrapped up its participation in the championship, finishing third in Pool B with three points, behind Poland with six points and the Netherlands in second with the same tally, while Romania finished fourth and last with no points.

This is Qatar's second-ever appearance at the FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship, following its debut in the 2022 edition held in Poland and Slovenia. (QNA)
