Pakistani Authorities Announce Taking Out Two Militants in Country's Southwest
Islamabad, June 07 (QNA) - The Pakistani authorities announced the killing of two militants during a security operation in the country's south-west.
The operation came after the movement of nearly 15 militants belonging to a banned organization was detected. The militants were planning to carry out sabotage operations in the region, Punjab Police's Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) reported.
The CTD highlighted that several other operatives fled to highly rugged mountainous areas, emphasizing that combing operations are underway to pursue the remaining suspected operatives and prevent any potential armed activity in the region.
Pakistan's security and military personnel have been conducting security operations against armed groups in different parts of the country. (QNA)
