Doha, August 5 (QNA) - Al Arabi SC announced Tuesday the official signing of Spanish player Javi Hernandez from Spanish club Leganes.

Al Arabi Club posted a video of the player wearing the club's jersey on its official account.

For its part, Leganes Club issued a statement on its official website, saying that an agreement has been reached with Qatari club Al Arabi regarding the loan of defender Javi Hernandez Carrera for the 2025/2026 season, with an option to buy at the end of the season.

The 27-year-old player joined Leganes in the summer of 2020 from Real Madrid.

Hernandez signed a contract with Leganes until 2027, before the Spanish club reached an agreement to loan him to Al Arabi Club.

He was previously loaned to Girona for the 2022/23 season and to Cadiz for the 2023/24 season.

Al Arabi Club signed a number of players during the current summer transfer window, most notably Frenchman Jordan Veretout, Spaniard Pablo Sarabia, and Kenyan Michael Olunga, as part of the team's preparations for the new season. (QNA)
