Israeli Aggression Against Gaza Pushes Death Toll Beyond 61,000, 153,000-Plus Wounded
Gaza, August 10 (QNA) - The death toll from the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 61,430, with 153,213 wounded.
Gaza's Ministry of Health reported on Sunday that its hospitals recorded 61 fatalities, including 2 martyrs who were recovered from under the rubble, and 363 wounded in the latest 24-hour reporting period.
It further added that several victims still remaining under the bombed-out buildings and on the streets, as paramedics and civil defense personnel have, heretofore, been unable to reach them.
Since March 18, the casualty toll on Sunday reached 9,921 martyrs and 41,172 wounded, the ministry said, stating that over the past 24 hours hospitals across Gaza received 35 martyrs and 304 wounded from those who were waiting for aid, bringing the total number of aid seekers who were killed to 1,778 and 12,894-plus injured people, the ministry added.
It indicated that over the past 24 hours hospitals across Gaza recorded 5 mortality cases, including two children who died due to famine and malnutrition, bringing the total number to 217 mortalities, among whom 100 are children.
The Israeli occupation forces resumed their onslaught on the Gaza Strip after breaching the ceasefire deal on March 18, following a two-month respite, and continued to target various areas across the Strip, which is already facing an unprecedented humanitarian tragedy after a 22-month war. (QNA)
