Football: Atletico Madrid Sign Feyenoord Defender
Madrid, July 24 (QNA) - Spanish football club Atletico Madrid officially announced today the signing of Slovak defender David Hancko from Dutch club Feyenoord on a contract running until 2030.
In a statement, the club said that Hancko signed a five-year deal after successfully passing his medical exams yesterday. The statement highlighted Hancko’s professional career, which began with Slovak club Zilina before moving to Italy’s Fiorentina and then Czech club Sparta Prague, eventually joining Feyenoord in 2022.
Atletico Madrid has recently bolstered its squad by signing several players, including Spanish defender Marc Pubill, Argentine midfielder Thiago Almada, Spanish midfielder Alex Baena, and Italian defender Matteo Ruggeri.
Atletico Madrid finished last season in third place with 76 points, four points behind second-place Real Madrid and 12 points behind champions Barcelona. (QNA)
