Doha, July 15 (QNA) - Al Gharafa Sports Club announced Tuesday the renewal of contracts for Algerian professional Yacine Brahimi and Tunisian professional Ferjani Sassi for an additional season, ending in the summer of 2026.

The club stated on its official account on the X platform that both players will continue their journey with the first football team during the upcoming phase, adding that the contract signing took place in the presence of club management.

Algerian Yacine Brahimi joined Al Gharafa in July 2022 from Al Rayyan Club. He participated in 84 matches, scoring 45 goals, and played a key role in securing the Amir Cup title last May, in addition to leading the team to third place in the Qatari League last season.

Tunisian Ferjani Sassi joined Al Gharafa in July 2023 from Al Duhail Club. He appeared in 63 matches and scored 17 goals.

Al Gharafa SC is set to represent Qatari football in the upcoming edition of the AFC Elite Champions League, as the Amir Cup champion.

The team will begin its 2025-2026 season campaign facing Umm Salal in the opening round of the QNB Stars League. (QNA)
