Doha, June 19 (QNA) - The Attorney Affairs Department at the Ministry of Justice announced an updated list of lawyers practicing before courts of all levels.

The updated list was published on the ministry's official website, including details of practicing lawyers.

According to the update, the number of lawyers registered in the rolls of lawyers practicing before the courts has reached 281 lawyers.

The update included the registration of 12 new lawyers before the Court of First Instance, bringing the number of lawyers registered there to 67, the registration of 4 new lawyers before the Court of Appeal, bringing the total to 22 lawyers, in addition to the registration of 7 new lawyers before the Court of Cassation, bringing the total to 192 lawyers.

In this context, Director of Attorney Affairs Department at the Ministry of Justice Salem Fahed Ghorab Al Marri indicated that the update aims to make lawyers' data available to the public and provide the country's judicial authorities with updated lists, in implementation of relevant legal provisions.

He emphasized the ministry's commitment to strengthening the national legal cadre and providing legal expertise that keeps pace with the comprehensive renaissance the country is witnessing.

He also pointed out that the ministry continues to train new lawyers through mandatory training programs organized by the Center for Legal and Judicial Studies, ensuring their efficient and professional engagement in the profession.

He noted that the ministry provides incentives and the necessary support to Qatari lawyers during their training period in law firms, contributing to the development of qualified national cadres that meet the needs of the justice sector, especially since the new update meets the requirements of legal work, enhances the efficiency of the justice system, and contributes to supporting the investment environment in the country.
