Doha, May 03 (QNA) - In a successful event marked by vibrant crowds, the French team Toulouse was crowned the champion of the "Lusail 3x3 International Challenger" basketball tournament.

The two-day event was organized by the Qatar Basketball Federation (QBF) under the supervision of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and in collaboration with Qatari Diar. The tournament is part of Qatar's preparations to host the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

Toulouse secured the title with a 20-18 victory over Serbian team Liman in the final, held at Al Sa'ad Plaza in Lusail, one of Qatar's most iconic modern cultural and architectural landmarks.

After the final match, QBF President, Mohammed Al Mughaiseeb, and Chief Development and Asset Management Officer at Qatari Diar, Fahad Abdullatif Al Jahrami, presented the trophy to Toulouse.

The French team deserved the victory, having competed against 16 teams from 10 different countries in the tournament. (QNA)
