Damascus, May 11 (QNA) - The Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) announced the discovery of the remains of 30 people believed to have been kidnapped and killed by ISIS during its control of Dabiq, the Syrian Arab Republic.

The discovery was made possible with the support of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

In a statement on Sunday, Lekhwiya said that these efforts came within the framework of an international operation carried out in response to an official request submitted by the FBI to Lekhwiya.

Lekhwiya carried out this mission in full coordination with the Syrian government, which provided everything necessary to facilitate the team's work.

This mission came after the formation of a specialized team from multiple units, including the Qatari team, to identify disaster victims.

Qatar International Search and Rescue Group of the Lekhwiya used advanced technologies in the search for victims, carrying out its missions with precision and high professionalism under extremely complex field conditions, contributing to the achievement of its set objectives.

In this context, Lekhwiya affirms its commitment to conducting DNA tests with utmost precision and care, stressing the need to await the official announcement of the final results and avoid any preconceived conclusions. (QNA)
