51st Arab Labor Conference to Kick Off in Cairo Saturday
Cairo, April 16 (QNA) - The 51st Arab Labor Conference will kick off Saturday in Cairo, organized by the Arab Labor Organization (ALO).
An ALO statement on Wednesday said the eight-day event represents a pivotal milestone in the journey of the ALO, as it coincides with the 60th anniversary of its founding and the 80th anniversary of the League of Arab States.
It noted that 25 Arab labor pioneers will be honored in recognition of their outstanding contributions and dedicated efforts in serving labor issues and advancing development and production in the Arab world.
The conference will address the report of the Director-General of the ALO which highlights the importance of economic diversification as a strategic necessity in light of economic crises and technological and digital transformations, to enhance sustainability and competitiveness in Arab countries.
The report also analyzes the reality of the Arab economy, highlighting structural challenges and weaknesses.
The conference will review the activities and programs implemented by the ALO over the past year, as part of its approved plan to meet the needs of the three production stakeholders.
This will be achieved through various implemented activities that took into account geographical distribution and diversity, including training courses, seminars, forums, and conferences, in addition to the organization's participation in numerous Arab, regional, and international activities and conferences.
