Arab Charter Committee Organizes Event to Mark Arab Human Rights Day
Cairo, March 24 (QNA) - The Arab Charter Committee for Human Rights organizes an event Monday to mark Arab Human Rights Day 2025 in Cairo, Egypt, in cooperation with the National Council for Human Rights in Egypt.
Representatives of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, the Arab Permanent Committee for Human Rights, the Arab Parliament for Human Rights, and the Arab Network for National Human Rights Institutions, along with several Arab public figures, participated in the event.
In his speech at the event, HE Chairman of the Arab Charter Committee for Human Rights Counselor Jaber Saleh Al Marri thanked the National Council for Human Rights in Egypt for hosting this event, noting the progress made in implementing the Charter's goals at the Arab level, particularly under the theme of Arab Human Rights Day 2025, "The Right to Food." For his part, HE Secretary-General of the Arab Network for National Human Rights Institutions, Sultan bin Hassan Al Jamali, discussed the cooperation efforts between the Network and the Arab Charter Committee for Human Rights, noting the fruitful results of this cooperation in recent years for the benefit of the Arab human rights system.
In his speech, Chairman of the Arab Permanent Committee for Human Rights, Ambassador Talal Al Mutairi, reviewed the violations of the rights of the Palestinian people, stressing the need to address them at various levels, noting that they are currently a priority on the Arab agenda. (QNA)
