Rabat, March 12 (QNA) - Qatar Charity has provided a package of humanitarian aid to affected and needy families in the Tata region of the Kingdom of Morocco, which was hit by floods last September, resulting in both human and material losses.

The assistance aims to improve their living conditions. In parallel, aid was also provided to people with disabilities and vulnerable women to enhance their social and economic inclusion. A total of around 34,400 people have benefited from these aids.

Director of Qatar Charity's office in Morocco Mohammed Abu Hulub confirmed that these efforts are part of Qatar Charity's commitment to supporting vulnerable groups and enhancing their means of dignified living. He added, "We are committed to continuing our humanitarian and developmental efforts in partnership with local national institutions to improve the lives of needy families and strengthen the economic and social independence of the most vulnerable groups. We hope that these initiatives will contribute to creating sustainable positive changes in the lives of the beneficiaries."

The head of one of the local institutions in Morocco Osman Maysar highlighted that this contribution would greatly improve the lives of the beneficiaries and grant them greater independence in movement. He emphasized the importance of investing in projects for people with disabilities as an essential step in enabling them to actively participate in society.

"We thank Qatar Charity and the generous donors in Qatar for their substantial support, as they have brought smiles to the faces of many children and offered them the opportunity for a life of dignity and hope," he added. (QNA)
