LoginLebanese President Affirms Cooperation with Egypt in Natural Gas Sector
Beirut, December 29 (QNA) - Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun met Monday with the visiting Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi.
During the meeting, Aoun affirmed that the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed earlier Monday between Lebanon and Egypt to meet Lebanon's needs for Egyptian natural gas for electricity generation will enable Lebanon to increase its electricity production and alleviate the power outage crisis.
For his part, the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum emphasized his country's commitment to strengthening cooperation with Lebanon in the energy sector. (QNA)
