Doha, November 17 (QNA) - The Ministry of Municipality, in collaboration with the National Service Academy (NSA), has launched the second national service recruits training program.

The program aims to enhance the readiness of Qatari recruits and augment their technical and mechanical proficiency, contributing to supporting the sustainable development journey in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030.

This came during an introductory briefing attended by the ministry's Assistant Undersecretary for General Services Affairs Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Al Karani, Colonel Abdullah Bader Kafoud, senior teacher at NSA, alongside several officials from both sides and national service recruits.

This launch is part of implementing the collaboration between the ministry and the Ministry of Defense. The program intends to equip recruits with advanced technical and practical skills in the public service-related mechanical domains, Al Karani highlighted.

He pointed out that this collaboration manifests the whole-of-government concerted approach in building the capacity of Qatari young people as a national treasure that backs the path toward development.

This program is literally a combination of military discipline and field practical expertise that will be internalized by recruits in managing mechanical equipment, Al Karani noted.

Al Karani further elaborated that the ministry merges sustainability notions and environmental protection with the programme through highlighting proper mechanical practices and rationalizing resource utilization, thereby strengthening environmental awareness and national responsibility.

Finally, Al Karani extended his gratitude to the NSA's Muqdam Camp for its collaboration in executing this programme, emphasizing that MoM will continue to support joint programmes that aim to have a national qualified workforce capable of surmounting future challenges.

The briefing featured a primer on the program's objectives and its training themes, in terms of theoretical and practical aspects related to technical gear and systems, as well as modes of operation and maintenance.

Overall, the program is poised to qualify 60 recruits of national service for taking on the mantle of specialized mechanisms under the superintendence of a team of professional engineers in managing mechanical equipment.

It likewise aims to conduct training programs in tire, mechanics, and maintenance workshops, and in the operation of heavy vehicles. Trainees receive instruction on lubricant properties and their applications.

The program further aims to strengthen operational readiness and enable the recruits to competently handle mechanical equipment and systems. (QNA)
