Gulf Cup U-17: Gulf Cup Secretary-General Praises Tournament's Organization in Qatar

Doha, October 3 (QNA) - Secretary-General of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation, Jassim Sultan Al Rumaihi has praised the outstanding organization of the Gulf Cup U-17 tournament, which was hosted by Qatar over the past two weeks and showcased emerging football talent from across the Gulf region.
Al Rumaihi commended Qatar's continued efforts to advance sports development at both technical and administrative levels, locally and internationally, through its successful hosting of various sporting events.
He affirmed that the tournament had fully achieved its intended objectives, most notably in revealing promising young Gulf talents who are expected to play a key role in the national teams of their respective countries in the coming years. He emphasized that nurturing youth categories is a strategic priority for the Federation, viewing them as the future of Gulf football.
The Secretary-General also highlighted the strong media coverage the tournament received, noting the wide interest and engagement from regional audiences. He expressed his satisfaction with the benefits gained by participating teams, both technically and organizationally.
Al Rumaihi extended his congratulations to the Saudi national team for winning the title, and offered his sincere appreciation to all the participating teams for their role in the success of the tournament.
The Gulf Cup U-17 tournament marks the first in a series of major events that Qatar is set to host this winter. Qatar will also host the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 from November 3 to 27 at the Aspire Zone competition venues, featuring 48 teams, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
In addition, the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 will take place from December 1 to 18, followed by the Gulf Cup U-23 from December 4 to 16, and the prestigious FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2025. (QNA)
