Cairo, October 21 (QNA) - The Qatar Tourism Awards, developed in partnership with the World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism), have announced the shortlist of nominees for their third edition.

This year's awards feature 195 shortlisted entries selected from over 1,160 submissions across 37 subcategories, grouped into seven main award categories.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Qatar Tourism said the awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in November, celebrating a new generation of tourism leaders whose achievements have helped enhance and enrich the visitor experience in Qatar.

The shortlist was compiled under the guidance of the UNWTO, while a 10-member jury — consisting of local and international experts — will assess the nominees.

The seven main categories include: Service Excellence, Gastronomic Experiences, Iconic Attractions & Activities, World-Class Events, Digital Footprint, Smart & Sustainable Tourism, and Community Leadership.

Winners of the Qatar Tourism Awards will receive wide-ranging promotion at the local, regional, and international levels — boosting their profile and reputation in the tourism industry.

The initiative aims to foster a culture of excellence and innovation in the sector, while recognising outstanding contributions that shape the future of tourism in the country. (QNA)
