Doha, October 18 (QNA) - The Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre (QICDRC) has concluded its three-day training program on the international commercial courts, held at the court's headquarters in Doha, with the participation of a select group of lawyers and legal practitioners who appear or aspire to appear before international commercial courts.

The program covered key topics including initiating proceedings and urgent applications, defenses, counterclaims, jurisdictional disputes, evidence, hearings and oral advocacy, judgments, orders, costs and enforcement, appeals procedures, and practices before the Regulatory Tribunal.

It also addressed ethical considerations in international court practice, offering practical insights into applying common law principles in a global context.

Designed to provide participants with a deep practical understanding of managing international commercial disputes, the program included procedures specific to the Civil and Commercial Court of the Qatar Financial Centre and its Regulatory Tribunal.

The course featured an interactive format combining lectures, workshops, and practical sessions, allowing participants to gain hands-on experience in applying legal principles to real-world, cross-border cases. At the conclusion of the program, all participants received certificates during a closing ceremony.

The QICDRC reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the ongoing professional development of lawyers in Qatar and the region, and expressed its intention to offer more specialized training programs in the future. (QNA)
