Doha, October 15 (QNA) - Qatar University (QU) has announced the start of online applications for Spring 2026 undergraduate admissions for first-year, visiting and non-degree students, with the deadline set for November 12, 2025.
In a statement on Wednesday, the university explained that online applications for students transferring from other universities to QU and for second-degree students will begin on October 26 and continue until November 5.
It indicated that the colleges available for admission for first-year, transfer students, and second-degree students are the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Engineering, the College of Business and Economics, the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies, and the College of Nursing. All of the aforementioned colleges require a minimum high school average of 70 percent upon application.
The statement emphasized that admission to QU is based on competition among applicants, noting that achieving the minimum high school diploma does not guarantee admission to a student's first choice, noting that admission is based on the capacity of each college, taking into account the educational track in secondary school.
Applicants are invited to submit their admission application by completing the online application on the university's official website (apply.qu.edu.qa) and uploading the required documents online, including a photo, a copy of a valid Qatari ID card or a passport for non-Qataris. The documents must be uploaded before the specified deadline.
Students who have met the minimum admission requirements can apply through the university's website, while students from Qatari public and independent secondary schools who obtained their high school diploma in 2016 or later are not required to submit their high school diploma to QU, as the university will receive their high school results from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
The university added that students from private and international schools, as well as students from Qatari public and independent secondary schools from 2015 and earlier, will be required to submit their final, original, and certified high school transcripts, along with copies for verification. Documents must be submitted to QU before the announced submission deadline.
As for applicants from other universities, this category is to submit their original, certified university transcripts, along with copies for verification to QU before the set deadline.
Regarding tracking the status of an application, applicants can track their admission status by visiting the online admissions application page using their username (ID) and password (PIN). Students with inquiries are encouraged to contact the Admissions Department via email at adm.inquiry@qu.edu.qa or via the Qatar University Student Call Center at 44034444.
The university also clarified that the online application for the Outstanding Performance Scholarships, the GCC Qatari Certificate Scholarships, and the Children of Qatar University Employees Scholarship will be open from Sunday, October 12, 2025, until Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Decisions regarding these scholarships will be announced via email to students. Applications for the Outstanding Performance Scholarship for students currently enrolled at the university will be open from Sunday, November 2, 2025, until Monday, December 2, 2025, and decisions will be announced via email to students.
The university added that scholarship applications can be submitted online for first-year students, and for enrolled students via the self-service system (Banner) during the announced application period. (QNA)
