Doha, November 10 (QNA) – The State of Qatar, represented by HE Minister of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs and Head of the Qatari Hajj Mission Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem, participated on Monday in the meeting of heads of Hajj missions held in Jeddah.

The meeting was attended by HE Minister of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al Rabeeah, and took place within the framework of joint coordination and early preparations for the upcoming Hajj season.

The meeting is part of the fifth edition of the Hajj and Umrah Services Conference and Exhibition, held under the theme "From Makkah to the World," under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The event is organized by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in partnership with the Guests of God Service Program, and is taking place from November 9 to 12, with broad participation from entities concerned with serving pilgrims from various countries of the Islamic world.

The meeting discussed key aspects of the plans for the upcoming Hajj season and ways to improve services in transportation, accommodation, crowd management, and the management of the holy sites, ensuring the comfort of pilgrims, ease of movement, and the performance of their rituals in an atmosphere of security and tranquility.

For his part, HE Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem commended the significant efforts exerted by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the diligent follow-up by HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, to develop the Hajj system and provide innovative facilities for the pilgrims.

His Excellency expressed the appreciation of the State of Qatar and its wise leadership for the Kingdom's distinguished efforts in serving the pilgrims, affirming the Qatari Hajj Mission's commitment to full cooperation with the relevant authorities in the Kingdom to provide a smooth and safe Hajj season for Qatari pilgrims.

In turn, HE the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah emphasized the importance of all Hajj missions adhering to the established instructions and regulations, stressing that the safety and health of the pilgrims are paramount.
