Arab League Condemns Renewed Iranian Attacks on Jordan
Cairo, September 09 (QNA) - The Arab League condemned renewed Iranian attacks targeting Jordan, describing them as a flagrant violation of the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity and a serious threat to regional security and stability.
In a statement on Wednesday, Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy warned that Iran's continued escalation against Gulf states and other Arab countries could push the region back into an open war, undermining diplomatic efforts to contain the crisis through negotiations.
He called on Iran to immediately halt the escalation, abandon its hostile policy toward Arab countries, exercise restraint, respect the principles of good-neighborliness and comply with relevant international charters.
Fahmy also reaffirmed the Arab League's full solidarity with Jordan and its support for all measures to safeguard the country's sovereignty, security and stability. (QNA)
