London, April 09 (QNA) - British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper has called for Lebanon to be included in the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran.

In a statement to the BBC, Cooper demanded that Lebanon be urgently included in the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Israel on one side and Iran on the other.

Cooper expressed "grave concern" over the escalation of Israeli strikes on Lebanon on Wednesday, saying, "We want to see Lebanon urgently included in the ceasefire, and we want an end to the hostilities there."

Lebanon was subjected to attacks by Israel on Wednesday, the most intense since March 2, targeting the capital Beirut and areas in the Bekaa Valley and southern Lebanon, resulting in hundreds of casualties, both dead and wounded, despite the announcement of a two-week ceasefire by the United States and Iran.(QNA
