QC Chairman Meets Armenian Minister of Economy

Doha, March 09 (QNA) - HE Qatar Chamber Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani met on Wednesday with HE Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Vahan Kerobyan, who is visiting the country.
The meeting touched on reviewing commercial and economic cooperation ties and ways to enlacing them, investment climate in both countries, and the possibility of forging partnerships between private sectors companies in a way that develops bilateral trade between Qatar and Armenia.
HE Armenian Minister urged Qatari businessmen to study the investment opportunities available in his country, noting that Armenia offers plenty of opportunities in many sectors such as agriculture, livestock, tourism, real estate, and advanced technologies.
For his part, HE QC Chairman praised the friendly relations between both countries, pointing to the common desire of them towards leveling up their economic and trading cooperation. HE stressed the Chamber's interest to encourage Qatari investors to explore Armenia's investment climate and benefit from opportunities available in many fields including food security and modern technology.
Qatar and Armenia have signed a set of agreements and memoranda of understanding on avoiding double taxation, trade, economic and technical cooperation, the encouragement and mutual protection of investments, and cultural, agricultural, and tourism cooperation. (QNA)
