UAE, Egypt Presidents Discuss Ties, Regional Developments
Abu Dhabi, February 09 (QNA) - HH President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed Monday with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi ways to enhance cooperation and relations between the two countries.
The two sides also touched on several regional and international issues of common concern, primarily the developments in the Middle East and the efforts being made to address them.
In this context, the two presidents emphasized the importance of moving forward with the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and ensuring the unhindered entry of sufficient humanitarian aid into the Strip to alleviate the suffering of its residents. They stressed the need to advance a just and comprehensive peace process in the region, based on the two-state solution, which guarantees regional security and stability.
They also noted the importance of working to strengthen the foundations of peace in the region, which contributes to maintaining its security and stability and achieving development and prosperity for its people. (QNA)
