Manama, October 08 (QNA) - Visit Qatar has received a GCC-level award recognizing Outstanding Companies in Workforce Nationalization, in recognition of its strategic commitment to empowering national talent in the tourism sector.

The award was received by Chief Executive Officer of Visit Qatar Eng. Abdulaziz Ali Al Mawlawi from HE Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, during a ceremony held on the sidelines of the 12th meeting of the GCC Committee of Ministers of Labor in Manama, Bahrain.

A statement by Visit Qatar said: "Qatar Tourism and Visit Qatar continue to focus on attracting, developing and retaining Qatari professionals, while creating opportunities for them to contribute to the visitor experience and the continued growth of the tourism sector".

The recognition reflects Visit Qatar's ongoing efforts to attract and develop national talent and follows Qatar Tourism's receipt of the Qatar Government Excellence Award, which recognized its outstanding performance, institutional excellence and commitment to advancing public-sector governance in line with national priorities.

The GCC awards are held annually to highlight success stories and honor entities and individuals that have contributed to nationalization efforts, while fostering the exchange of expertise and experience among GCC countries. (QNA)
