Doha, September 08 (QNA) - Qatar Central Securities Depository (QCSD) registered the treasury bills (T-Bills) issued by Qatar Central Bank for August, T-Bills were registered with a date of issue on 6th August, including three-month treasury bills with the value of QR 300 million. The total number of T-Bills issued was 30,000 and a maturity date of 05/11/2019. It also included six-month treasury bills issued with the value of QR 200 million. The total number of T-Bills issued was 20,000 and a maturity date of 04/02/2019. The QCSD also registered nine-month treasury bills issued by QCB with the value of QR 100 million. The total number of T-Bills issued was 10,000 and a maturity date of 05/05/2020. QCSD registered the Bonds issued by Qatar Central Bank for August 2019 in its systems. The bonds were registered with a date of issue on 19th August, ranging from three-year bonds worth QR 3 billion with 300,000 issuances and maturity date 19/08/2022. Five-year bonds were also issued worth QR 3 billion with maturity date 19/08/2024. This came in QCSD's August report which presented its main procedures during August, which included custody, recording, management, acquisition, clearing and settlement of securities and derivatives and other financial instruments; the provision of related financial services; the transfer of ownership of executed contracts through trading and remittances; in addition to the implementation of all mortgage and decommissioning and foreclosure operations at the request of the relevant parties. QCSD also updated several shareholders' statements and added new shareholders.

 Among the achievements recorded by QCSD during August, it also changed the percentage of foreign ownership in Almeera Consumer Goods Company to become 49 percent of the capital equivalent to 98,000,000 shares It also amended of the ownership of individuals in the Qatar Electricity and Water to become 1 percent of the capital, equivalent to 11,000,000 shares. In its monthly report, QCSD provided figures and statistics illustrating the main activities carried out during August. In ownership transfer of the third market, the QCSD conducted 245 family transfers. The company also conducted 633 inheritance transfers and 11 exception transfers were made in August. The number of shareholders recognized in the company's system during August reached 389,225 shareholders, while the number of shareholders with a bank account was 54,478 shareholders in August. Also in August, 45 mortgage transactions were registered and 197 mortgage release transactions were issued in August. The number of shareholders recognized by the system according to nationality (Qatari and non-Qatari) and type of shareholder (individuals and institutions) reached 230,698 Qatari shareholding individuals in August and the number of shareholders from Qatari institutions was 1,356 in August. The number of non-Qatari shareholders in August of this year was 156,139, shareholders from non-Qatari institutions reached 1,032. (QNA)
