Ankara, April 02 (QNA) - Turkiye on Thursday warned of a wider war in the Middle East amid rising regional escalation.

In a statement on the latest developments, Turkish Ministry of Defense emphasized that all conflicts should be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy, in line with international law, and affirmed that Ankara will continue its efforts to reduce tensions.

Turkiye also warned against what it described as ongoing Israeli violations of Syrian sovereignty, citing strikes on southern regions, as well as the continued expansion of illegal settlements in the West Bank. It urged the international community, particularly the United Nations, to take responsibility for stopping these actions and upholding the international order.

In a separate development, Ankara condemned Israeli attacks on Lebanon that killed three United Nations peacekeepers serving with the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), calling the incidents a violation of international and humanitarian law. (QNA)
