Riyadh, August 07 (QNA) - The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) strongly condemned the Houthi attacks on the Najran region of Saudi Arabia, which left several innocent civilians injured.

In a statement today, GCC Secretary-General Jassim Mohammed AlBudaiwi said the attacks constituted a terrorist crime and a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law.

He added that the deliberate and indiscriminate targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure amounts to a crime that warrants accountability, describing it as a blatant breach of international norms and conventions and a serious threat to regional and international security and stability.

The statement stressed that the security of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of the GCC member states, affirming that the Council stands united with the Kingdom and supports all measures it takes to protect its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. (QNA)
