Doha, May 06 (QNA) - The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (AMAN), part of the Qatar Social Work Foundation, has concluded a series of awareness activities held in collaboration with Hamad Medical Corporation and the Primary Health Care Corporation, targeting women, children, and victims of domestic violence.
The campaign, hosted across several health centers, introduced the public to Aman's services, focusing on social protection and raising awareness of psychological health issues linked to abuse and family disintegration.
Aman's Acting Executive Director Fadhel bin Mohammed Al Kaabi stressed the importance of partnership with the healthcare sector in safeguarding vulnerable groups and promoting mental health awareness, noting that exposure to violence has lasting behavioral and psychological impacts.
Officials reported that more than 1,700 visitors engaged with the initiative over two days. Representatives from Hamad Medical Corporation highlighted the initiative as a model of integration between healthcare and social support services, aimed at strengthening prevention, awareness, and access to care.
Aman reaffirmed its commitment to fostering safe, inclusive environments and expanding community partnerships to deliver protection, rehabilitation, and psychosocial support services. (QNA)
