Israel Launches Airstrikes on Southern Lebanon
Beirut, January 05 (QNA) - Israeli warplanes launched Monday a series of airstrikes on southern Lebanon.
The Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA) said that Israeli warplanes launched a series of airstrikes on the outskirts of the towns of Siksikieh and Sarafand (Ain Al Daliyah area), while low-altitude flights by warplanes continued in the skies of southern Lebanon.
On Nov. 27, 2024, a ceasefire agreement in southern Lebanon came into effect, stipulating the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the border villages and towns in southern Lebanon within 60 days. Following this, the Beirut government agreed to extend the deadline until Feb. 18. However, the occupation army remained in five points and continues its violations, which have exceeded 7,000 air violations and more than 2,400 military activities in the area of operations of the UNIFIL forces in southern Lebanon since last November.
