Singapore Bans Shisha Tobacco
Singapore, November 04 (QNA) - The import, distribution and sale of shisha tobacco will be banned from the end of the month in Singapore, local press reported on Tuesday.
The announcement was made in parliament by Parliamentary Secretary for Health Faishal Ibrahim in response to a question on the regulation of shisha use and the smoking of waterpipes in Singapore.
"Shisha smoking may serve as a gateway to cigarette smoking," Faishal said, according to The Straits Times daily.(QNA)
