Israeli Occupation Forces Renew Incursion Into Southern Syria
Damascus, October 05 (QNA) - An Israeli occupation force entered agricultural land on Monday between the town of Beit Jinn and its farm in the western Damascus countryside, while opening fire on farmers.
The Syrian Arab News Agency, SANA, reported that a force comprising several Israeli military vehicles entered the agricultural land between Beit Jinn and its farm and opened fire toward farmers working their land. No injuries were reported.
Israeli forces had earlier entered a military post in the area and blew it up.
The attack is part of a continuing series of Israeli violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, including repeated incursions into southern Syria, raids on civilian homes, the leveling of agricultural land and shelling.
Syria has repeatedly called for the Israeli occupation forces to withdraw from its territory, maintaining that all measures taken by Israel are null and void and have no legal effect under international law. Damascus has also called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities and compel Israel to withdraw fully from southern Syria. (QNA)
