Algeria Inaugurates Intra-African Trade Fair 2025
Algiers, September 05 (QNA) - Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune called for unifying the efforts of African countries in order to enable the continent to contribute to international economic decision-making and to overcome the marginalization it suffers from.
This came during his inauguration today of the fourth edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair 2025 in the Algerian capital, which will continue until the 10th of this month.
The Algerian president said that Africa’s share of global investment flows does not exceed $94 billion annually, noting that it is the weakest share in the world, representing no more than 6 percent of total flows.
Tebboune added that the future of Africa lies in the collective ability of its countries to establish integrated infrastructure. He called for the creation of an investment-friendly environment by doubling efforts, mobilizing resources, and unifying direction to transform the African Continental Free Trade Area into an effective tool for development.
Algeria is hosting the fourth edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair, with the participation of delegations from 140 countries and more than 2,000 companies from Africa and beyond, with expectations of concluding trade and investment agreements exceeding $44 billion. (QNA)
