Kuwait, May 05 (QNA) - A moderate earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale struck the Al-Manaqish area in southwestern Kuwait on Tuesday, according to the Kuwait National Seismic Network.

In a statement, the network said the tremor occurred at 1:27 p.m. local time at a depth of 5 kilometers.

No immediate reports of damage or casualties were issued.

The same area experienced a 3.9-magnitude earthquake in mid-March 2025.  (QNA)
