Amman, October 04 (QNA) - Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi held talks on Sunday with his Yemeni counterpart, Afrah Al Zouba, currently visiting Jordan, on regional developments and coordination on related issues.

During the meeting, the two ministers affirmed their support for efforts to de-escalate tensions and restore calm, with a view to reaching a comprehensive solution that ensures lasting security and stability, addresses the root causes of tensions, and respects state sovereignty, the principles of good-neighborliness, and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz in accordance with the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

They agreed to maintain communication and consultations to strengthen bilateral relations and coordinate on regional and international issues of mutual interest. (QNA)
