NAMA Launches Program to Develop Food Projects
Doha, September 04 (QNA) - Social Development Center (NAMA), an affiliate of Ministry of Social Development and Family, will launch Tuesday a program to develop food projects, in cooperation with Cooking Academy.
The program is part of NAMA's ongoing efforts to enhance the capabilities of home projects and new startups and entrepreneurship.
The month-long program includes field and craft training as part of field visits to food factories, many workshops in marketing, packaging, food preservation, and manufacturing methods and specialized workshops on chocolate making.
NAMA's Entrepreneurship Manager Mohammed Al Abdulghani said the integrated development program for productive micro-enterprises, whether home-based or new existing companies, seeks to develop all productive sectors that would contribute to economic diversification and self-sufficiency in the State of Qatar.
He stressed the importance of supporting these projects and encouraging entrepreneurship in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, noting that one of the vision's goals is linked to improving the economic and social empowerment of the Qatari family.
