QFA Unveils 2025–26 Awards Shortlists

Doha, May 04 (QNA) - The Qatar Football Association (QFA) Awards Board has announced the final nominees for the 2025–26 season after completing voting, auditing, and ratification.

Shortlisted for Best Player are Roger Guedes (Al Rayyan), Akram Afif (Al Sadd), and Baghdad Bounedjah (Al Shamal). The Best Coach nominees are David Prats (Al Shamal), Vicente Moreno (Al Rayyan), and Roberto Mancini (Al Sadd).

For Best Goalkeeper, the nominees are Jassim Al Hail (Al Arabi), Mahmoud Abunada (Al Rayyan), and Meshaal Barsham (Al Sadd). The Best U-23 Player shortlist includes Mubarak Shanan (Al Duhail), Ayoub Al Alawi (Al Gharafa), and Mohammed Mannaei (Al Shamal).

The Mansour Muftah Top Scorer Award has already been decided, with Al Rayyan striker Roger Guedes claiming the honor after netting 21 goals in the Doha Bank Stars League.

Winners of the non-voted categories, Football for All, Best Refereeing Team, and Best Stand, will be revealed at the awards ceremony on May 11. (QNA)
