General Directorate of Traffic's acting director-general Brig Mohamed Abdullah Al Shahwani said that the State of Qatar is at the forefront of GCC countries in celebrating the Gulf Traffic Week, since Their Highnesses and Excellencies Interior Ministers of the GCC states approved it in November 1983, due to an awareness of the importance of traffic safety, and the need to raise awareness of traffic rules and laws.
