Damascus, December 31 (QNA) - Israeli occupation forces infiltrated the northern Quneitra countryside in southern Syria on Wednesday.

The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that an Israeli occupation patrol consisting of four vehicles departed from the Adnaniyah checkpoint towards the Al Mantarah Dam road, before heading towards the intersection connecting the villages of Ruwayhinah and Al Mushayrifah at the Umm al Adham village junction in the northern Quneitra countryside. There, they briefly established a temporary checkpoint before withdrawing.

The occupation forces also withdrew all the heavy machinery they had used for excavation and bulldozing operations west of the village of Saida Al Hanout in the southern Quneitra countryside, southwest Syria.

Earlier Wednesday, an occupation force consisting of two vehicles moved from Tell al Ahmar al Gharbi towards the village of Ain al Ziwan, establishing a temporary checkpoint between the village and the town of Koudna in the southern Quneitra countryside. They also entered the village of Al Ashah and arrested a civilian.

The Israeli occupation authorities continue their aggressive policies and violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement by incursions into southern Syria and attacks on civilians.

Syria consistently demands the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its territory, asserting that all measures taken by Israel in southern Syria are null and void and have no legal effect under international law.

Syria calls on the international community to uphold its responsibilities and deter the occupation's practices. (QNA)
