Israeli Aerial Offensive Kills One in Southern Lebanon
Beirut, January 31 (QNA) - An individual was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Rab Thalathine town in Marjayoun District of South Lebanon, the Lebanese Health Ministry reported in a statement Saturday.
On Nov. 27, 2024, a ceasefire accord took effect in southern Lebanon, under which the Israeli forces were supposed to withdraw from border villages and towns within a 60-day deadline.
Thereafter, the Lebanese government agreed to extend the deadline until Feb. 18, 2025; however, the Israeli forces remained in five locations and continue their breaches.
These Israeli violations have exceeded 7,000 air breaches and over 2,400 military activities in the UNIFIL area of operations in southern Lebanon since last November. (QNA)
