Doha, June 30 (QNA) - Umm Salal SC officially signed French coach Patrice Carteron to lead the club's first football team.

The club stated Monday that the 54-year-old coach signed a contract to lead the first team for the upcoming 2025–2026 season, succeeding Patrice Beaumelle.

After coaching Umm Salal for nine rounds during the 2024–2025 season, Carteron left the club in November last year to take over at Iranian Sepahan SC.

He had first taken charge of Umm Salal in July 2023, replacing Moroccan coach Talal El Karkouri.

Umm Salal is looking to redeem itself and give a stronger showing in the upcoming season after finishing 11th in the last Qatar Stars League season. (QNA)
